Long cables weaken the signal as it passes through, and faceplates introduce joins which also weaken signal. Add to this some laptops output a weak signal, and some displays are more sensitive to weak incoming signal. Vision's 8K cables are designed for exactly these hostile conditions. This OM3 fiber-optic cable uses active circuits inside the plugs at each end to convert the signal for long cable runs, ensuring it reaches the other end at full signal strength.
